This is a listing for a vintage 1969 Gunther Kieser – Jimi Hendrix Experience Presented by Lippmann + Rau - German concert poster. This great vintage Poster measures approximately 35¼ inches tall by 25¼ inches wide. The poster advertises a performance by Jimi Hendrix on January 15, 1969 (15.1.69) on Wednesday 8 p.m. at the Beethovensall Stuttgart (Translated from the German on the poster)
It is marked “Copyright 1969 Gunther Kieser - A contemporary Poster Classic, created by Gunther Kieser for Lippmann-Rau concerts, distributed exclusively by Darien House, Inc. New York City 10023. Printed in West Germany” Poster features the iconic black and white face of Jimi Hendrix accented with various water colors. The face of Jimi Hendrix was then surrounded with colorful wires, switches and other electric device parts all artistically placed to surround his face to create the image on the poster.
Poster comes to you still in good overall condition, having been professionally and permanently mounted to a foam board backing. The Poster shows some signs of age and storage wear from before it was mounted to the foam board. These include some pin holes and tears on the four corners, as well as some small edge wear and tears. Surface of poster shows some minor signs of wear and dirt marks as well as small veins of crinkling. As was stated earlier all of these look like they occurred before the poster was mounted. The Foam board that the poster is mounted on also shows some signs of age, use and storage wear. These include pin holes in the corners and top middle of the board, edge wear and dents as well as corner dents to the bottom two corners. Corner dent on the bottom left is much more pronounced.  Board also shows a drip stain on the left side. This stain is on the foam board, as the board is slightly bigger than the poster. Back of the foam board is covered in paper from the store that did the mounting of the poster.
