c 1903 Henri Farman Panhard Original Photograph - Gordon Bennett Auto Racing

Extremely early, rare original photograph of Henri Farman behind the wheel of a Panhard circa 1903. Farman was an pioneer in automobile racing, driving in Paris-Berlin and Gordon Bennett events. He would soon after be a pioneer in the field of aviation manufacturing.
This silver-gelatin photo is very certainly of the early 1900's time period. The image has reasonably good contrast. The print is in fair condition with a few pin holes and a short tear in the upper right corner. A few scattered creases not affecting the main part of the image. Note: The photo provided in the listing marked 1904 is for reference and comparison only. This is again Farman with a Panhard. Note too the mechanic appears to be the same as in the original photo offered here.
