Description
Jimi Hendrix (1942-1970) played his last few shows with Mitch Mitchell and Billy Cox in Europe. Following Isle of Wight Festival (England), he went onto Stockholm, Gothenburg (Sweden), then Aarhus and Copenhagen (Denmark) and finally Berlin and Fehmarn (Germany) in September 1970.After performing only three songs at Vejlby-Risskov Hallen in Aarhus, Denmark, Hendrix left the stage. He was exhausted and the remainder of the show was canceled. This would become his 4th last concert ever.
The
rare
original concert poster announcing this show has been scanned in high-resolution and an exact reproduction of the poster is offered here. The 300 g uncoated index stock paper is slightly heavier than the original uncoated poster, but otherwise original artwork, feel, and dimensions as in the original poster.
This is the first phase of the Aarhus poster when the show was originally scheduled by Bendix Music. Due to contract issues, the show was cancelled, and then rescheduled by SBA (Scandinavian Booking Agency; not a Student Blues Associations) and Aarhus Studenter Jazz. They kept the tickets, posters and Press releases from Bendix Music, only adding an extra print to the poster, in black, with the new promoter names. That second phase, but same stock of pre-concert poster, was also trimmed to remove "Arr.: BENDIX MUSIC".
The reproduction is a real offset printed and NOT cheap home-generated copies or scans otherwise so common on ebay. The poster measures 32 x 62 cm (12.5 x 24.5 inches) and with its powerful image makes it perfect for displaying on your walls. The posters are in mint perfect condition. Shipping is in a poster tube and combine shipping for unlimited posters at NO extra shipping cost.
ONCE RECEIVED PLEASE CAREFULLY ROLL THE POSTER OPPOSITE FROM THE WAY THAT IT CURLS. Start loose and tighten it up as you go, to avoid creasing it. Sometimes this is enough to flatten it, but usually you will need to carry on with this step due to the heavy paper quality.
