Description
Original 19th Century Ophicleide. For sale a C - Ophicleide, 12 keys, made in the middle of the 19th century.The ophicleide is a wind instrument invented by Jean Hilaire Asté in 1817 and used by great composers such as Berlioz, Mendelssohn and Wagner.
The instrument was in Brazil and seems to have traveled for a time capsule, it is in perfect condition despite its age.
It has been completely revised and is ready to play. No dents or any other defects. It does not have the manufacturer's mark only the inscription: AO CHRONOMETRO ALB. FEHLAUER PORTO-ALEGRE / R. DOS ANDRADES.
The ophicleide was tested in Brazil by the musician Everson Moraes, a scholar and researcher of the instrument.
