Vintage Rack Mount Simpson VU Meter Pair Large Bakelite for Studio

Up for sale here is this neat vintage rack-mount pair of VU meters, with a few other parts as well.  I don't know if this is homemade or was manufactured, but it doesn't have any ID on it other than on the meters, which are Simpson meters.  This is a standard rack-mount size--19" wide and 5.25" tall.
One meter has a crack in the case
, at the top left edge.  You could glue it and it would look ok from a few feet away.  This is completely untested, but it looks like it should work fine.  I will guarantee the meters to work, but I have no idea how this is wired up, so you may need to fiddle around with it a bit.  The metal plate is in good shape with light wear and a few scratches/scrapes near the middle.  One of the lights is missing the cover--it's the one under "start."  Please see my pictures for details.
